Hello Parents!

Taking this into account, we’ve put together an AusJob FAQ that’ll hopefully answer some of your enquiries.

However, If you can’t find the answer to your question within our FAQ, then please feel free to call us on 0161 222 3780 or alternatively email us at

If you would like to come and see us personally, then we’d love to see you at the office; we will provide biscuits and cups of tea aplenty! AusJob in a nutshell

Here at AusJob, we provide applicants from all over the world with the opportunity to work in Australia for up to two years.

Our strong working network with Australia based companies has enabled us to offer a range of enthralling opportunities, including packages combining Work and Travel, as well as programs catering for the needs of applicants with a desire to gain invaluable work experience; we offer applicants great opportunities, including a range of internships or an opening to immerse themselves in a rewarding Au Pair scheme.

AusJob presents a fantastic window of opportunity for young people to improve their confidence, assume responsibility and enhance their communication skills, all while becoming more independent and experiencing an alternative culture. The initiative taken to work in another country is a fantastic asset to include on a CV and can act as a way of differentiating an application for prospective vacancies in an increasingly competitive job market.

Work and Travel

Our most popular package, Work and Travel offers a full 12-month membership to our dedicated job service.

With this option, your son/daughter can embark on their adventure to Australia confident in the knowledge that they can work and travel how they want and when they want, with a dedicated team of people available for support from the outset.

In addition to a specialist team, the package also includes in-country support, as well as assistance with setting up an Australian bank account and tax file number.

Regardless of where your son/daughter decides to travel in Australia, the door will always be open at the office to help with the next stage of their adventure.

To apply, your son/daughter needs to head on over to the Work and Travel Package page and complete an application form. Once we have received their application we’ll screen their application to confirm suitability; this includes checking visa qualification and age.

We understand that your child flying half way across the world can be quite an overwhelming prospect. Therefore, we’re more than happy to meet with parents/guardians to provide any assurances and answer any questions.

If everything sounds promising, then we would require an initial deposit payment of £49 to secure the Work and Travel program place. The great part about this is that we only need the remaining balance no later than 8 weeks prior to departure!

We are all aware of how difficult it is for the younger generation to secure work in this competitive world, so that is why an AusJob Internship is the perfect starter to standing out against the competition. We have a wide range of internships on offer, so whatever career path your relation desires, AusJob is here to help!

An Internship in Australia is the perfect way for students to stand out against the crowd, allowing them to grow in confidence, learning all about their field of work whilst sampling a new and exciting culture.

The application process for one of our internships is really simple: Prospective interns must complete an application form, to assess suitability for the program; if successful, an interview date will be arranged, whereby we will assess factors such as skills, experience, maturity and ability of the participant, as well as gaining an understanding of what your son/daughter is looking for from the AusJob experience.

More information can be found at our Internships page, where the full process is listed.

Please note: Applicants for the internships must be available for the agreed contract length (which is a minimum of 6 weeks).

Au Pairing

Au Pairing is the perfect way to gain an authentic Australian experience; should your son/ daughter opt to select the Au Pair route, they can expect an outdoor lifestyle with plenty of activities and an opportunity to check out the local area!

With a minimum term of 6 months, applicants can then spend the rest of their time in Australia on their Working Holiday Visa either Au Pairing with a different family, joining another one of our Work and Travel programs or embarking on a magical journey across the stunning coast in a rented camper van.

Contrary to widespread belief, Au Pairs don’t take on the role of a nanny or a babysitter. Rather, they provide between 25-35 hours of childcare per week, and this may include some light household duties. Additionally, they’ll be provided with a full private room, full board and 2 days off per week with a weekly allowance. While our host families are situated all over Australia, our most popular destination is Sydney, followed by the outback. Whichever part of the country your relation is placed in they will gain a unique insight into real life down under!

With a minimum term of 6 months, applicants can then spend the rest of their time in Australia on their Working Holiday Visa either Au Pairing with a different family, joining another one of our Work and Travel programs or embarking on a magical journey across the stunning coast in a rented camper van.
